LAST CHANCE.

CHRISTMAS MAIL. CLOSING ON MONDAY NEXT. " SAY IT WITH BRETT'S." Those who wish to send letters and parcels to arrive at Home before Christmas have only one more chance. The Rangitiki leaves Napier on Tuesday and is due in London on Dcccmber 22. Mails, however, close in Auckland on Monday, at 1.30 p.m., though letters only will be accepted until 4.30 p.m. In no better way can Christmas greetings be given to friends overseas than by sending a "Brett's Christmas Number." The Rangitiki is the last Christmas mail for this annual as well. Postage charges are Id. There is yet, however, a further mail which arrives in London on New Year's Eve, per tho Port Caroline. Mail by this vessel closes at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, November 22, while letters only will be received as in the ease of the Rangitiki, until 4.30 p.m. To "say it with Brett's" is peculiarly appropriate, because the annual besides being an acceptable present, is definitely emblematic of New Zealand. It gives in the most compact form possible a fine Gcneeption of the arrayed beauties of a country the scenery of which has been held to be as line as any in the world. It is scarcely possible to bring New Zealand scenery before the eyes of those living abroad by the most facile pen, whereas Brett's Annual conveys a pictured reminder to those who know her shores, and an invitation to those who would come if they but knew. The annual plays 'no small part in advertising tho Dominion abroad.
