KING REY'S CUP.

Sprint To Boughal — Nun Nicer Scores Easily — Orac and Golden Blonde Successful.

The opening day of the "Waikato Racing Club s spring meeting was held to-day in showery weather. There was a gopd attendance, but the track was holding. The principal event, the Waikato Cup, went to the second favourite, King Rey, while the open sprint was annexed by Boughal. Merry Lap recorded his third success on end when he won the Vi/aimai Hurdles, having won a double at the recent Whangarei meeting, while Orac and Valspear were also on the winning list.
