SUCCESSFUL CONCERT.
Knox Hall, Parnell, was crowded on Tuesday evening when a very enjoyable concert was presented, arranged by Miss Kay Christie and Mrs. Bagrie's Sunbeams. Items by tlic following were very much enjoyed: Contralto solo, Kay Christie, with violin obligato by Daphne Higham; solos and duets, Gwenda Weir and Robert Simmers; humorous recitals, Doris Poole; tenor solos, Harry Donaldson; violin solos, Daphne Ilighani; whistling solos, Reg Rushen; magic, Harry Withers. Musical selections were given by the Reo Orchestra.
Mrs. Bagrie's Sunbeams gave a delightful performance entitled "By a Waterfall," the stage being artistically arranged with peach blossoms, while a waterfall in the centre gave a realistic touch. The Victorian froeking was especially pretty in blue and gold, with largo picture hats. Other items and an amusing dialogue, "The Minister's Call," were given by the Sunbeams. The accompanists were Mrs. Maud Lysaght, Misa Connie Cole and Miss Murray.
