PLUMBERS' DISPUTE.
COURT RESERVES DECISION.
Decision has been reserved by the Arbitration Court in the case in which the Auckland Registered Plumbers Employers' Society (Mr. Tuck) appealed against the refusal of the registrar of industrial unions to register the society under the I.C. and A. Act. The granting of the appeal was opposed by the Auckland Master Plm..bers' Industrii 1 Union of Employers (Mr. Barrowelough). When further evidence was heard in the dispute yesterday r.fternoon, W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Employers' Union, said that 17 members of his union employed 102 journeymen and 19 apprentices. In proceedings in conciliation the appellant society made a counter-proposal of 2/3 an hour, which was exactly the same as the wages claimed by the workers 1 union. Practically the only difference between the appellant society and the workers' union was over the rates for overtime, v He contended also that the difference between the society and the employers' union was trifling.
