AYR STREET ON TOP.
NEW MORRIS TWENTY-FIVE. Ayr Street on top gear is as good a recommendation as one could wish for any car, and Morris' latest contribution to tho New Zealand market, the Morris twenty-five, climbed the steep grade in a test yesterday with surprising ease. It is something new to sit behind the wheel of an English car that has so much power under the bonnet, that has comparatively quick acceleration, and that rides comfortably under all conditions. Synchromesh mechanism ie provided in top and second gears, and the threespeed gearbox is provided with an accessible filling orifice and dipstick oil level indicator, and protected by a thick, dustproof rubber cover. Tho petrol tank, concealed at the back, is capable of holding 13 gallons. A single-plate clutch is fitted, and provides smooth engagement with tho minimum of attention. Fully compensating four wheel brakes of a highly efficient type are fitted. Light and safe operation with accurate control ie provided with the camtype steering gear. The controls have all been placed with attention to comfort. Tho accelerator pedal is on the extreme right, and the brake pedal and clutch, are so situated that they have ample foot clearance.
