SUBSIDISED GOLD MINERS
BOARD TO PAY PREMIUMS. (By Telegraph.—Freas Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. The Minister of Employment, Mr. Smith, announced to-day that subsidised frokl prospectors working under the Unemployment Board's goldmining scheme will in future not be required to pay the cost of accident insurance. The board has decided to pay the insurance premiums for the men as from November 0. Special development workers and supervisors under the goldmining scheme will not be affected, as' the cost of the insurance for these men is already carried by the board.
