WRESTLING.

WALKER'S FORMIDABLE OPPONENT

I Judging by the reports of his matches in . the United States, where he defeated such | well-known _ performers as Abe Kaplan, IBonnie Muir, Doctor Hall, Bob K.ruse, Alan Eustace and Howard Cantonwine, to name only a few, "Tiger" Dnala is one of the best and cleverest wrestlera, if not the very best, to visit New Zealand. These reports have been borne out by the opinions of sports critics who have seen him in action in the South, and consequently Auckland wrestling fans will see a wrestler far above the average when Duala takes the ring against George Walker at the Town Hall on Saturday evening. Weighing just over lGst, powerfully built, fast, clever and crafty, Duala is every inch a wrestler, and when they see him Auckland ringsiders will realise how and why he has come to be recognised in India as second only to Gama, the marvellous Indian wrestler, who, it has been stated by those competent to judge, would win the world's title if he would journey to the United States. Duala is recognised as second to Gama because the latter is the Indian champion and because Duala has not yet riiet him. That match will take place when Duala returns to his home country after his stay in New Zealand. In him, Walker has a formidable opponent, and although the former Canadian has upset many reputations in the local ring in many stirring contests, this will be his hardest task. The contest promises thrills and excitement in plenty, and another capacity house is expected. ANOTHER WIN FOR BLOMFIELD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. In a wrestling bout la6t night Blomfield was given a decision over Cestokli on points after each had secured a fall. The eontcst was before a packed house, and the spectators thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
