CADET CORPS NOT FAVOURED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Full discussion took place at a meeting of the General Assembly last night on two Sections of the report of the publie questions committee, respecting a proposal that the Presbyterian Church should unite with other churches in making an urgent and united appeal to the nations of the world to stand by their obligations under the League of Nations and the Pact of Paris, and secondly that the controlling authorities in church schools should be informed that the Assembly did not approve of military training in Presbyterian Church schools, and desired to arrange for some other type of disciplinary training.
By a majority vote both clauses were adopted.
