WORLD CHAMPION.
F. J. PERRY RETURNING. GAMES AT STANLEY STREET. Tlie world's champion tennis player, F. J. Perry, will play in exhibition matches at Stanley Street, Auckland, next Saturday week. Perry, is on his way to Sydnev by the Lurlme, which is due at Auckland on November 2, and the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association has taken the opportunity of arranging matches.
The Auckland players, E. L. Bartleet and N. G. Sturt, have signified their willingness to participate in the exhibition games arid an invitation has been extended to D. G. France, of Wellington, to take part. The latter's brilliant play against the British team last season at Stanley Street will be recalled.
The association anticipates that tha matches will prove a great attraction to Auckland tennis enthusiasts.
