THIS MORNING'S TRIALS. FLEMINGTON AND CAULFIELD. (Received 1.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. At Flemington the gallops were on the course proper, Sylvandale (H. Moran) beat Peter Pan (C. Scahill) by a neck, with The Raider third, in a record mile, the time being 1.42. Berestoi and Turbine did their last five furlongs in 1.12. King's Head ran seven furlongs in 1.35%, and Allunga and High. Croes a mile in 1.45%, the first six furlongs in 1.18. Buzzard King ran six furlongs in 1.22%, the last four furlongs in 53%5. Chanars ran four furlongs in 50s, and Hadrian three in 38s. Master Brierly covered his last four furlongs in 575. On the tan Yillius (L. Harrison) traversed ten furlongs in 2.15, the first mile in 1.44%, and Princess Cynthia six furlongs in 1.19. Karomin and Wilma Gay ran four furlongs in 51%5, The Scout taking 51%5.
The Caulfield gallops this morning were carried out on the grass. Young Idea (A. Reed) ran nine furlongs in 1.59, the first six in 1.19%. Beamish Boy (H. Bastian) and Contact (P. Wailcs) covered nine furlongs in 2.2, the' first six in 1.20, Palfresco taking 2.7. Takata did the best three furlongs, occupying 365. Synagogue (A. Reed) and Calydon (N. Mcllroy) ran six furlongs iu 1.22. Burlestiue (H. Johnson) traversed ten' furlongs in 2.18V4, Venosa taking 2.15%. Royal Armour (A. Breasley) defeated Red Ray (S. Tomison) over eleven furlongs in 2.29, the last four in 545. La Scal a (Tattenham) did the best four furlongs, recording 48s, Grand Sport and East Cape taking 51s, and. Great Night 49%5. Prince Quex and Remittent covered five furlongs in 1.11. Sporting Blood (N. Percival) defeated Gay Sheik (W. Tilsley) over seven furlongs in 1.34, the last six in 1.17. Great Legend ran five furlongs in 1.7. Loud Applause and Glads wood did a mile in 1.45, the first five furlongs in 1.5. SareUerie ran nine furlongs in 2.10. On tile sand Mainlaw and Royal Hussar traversed nine furlongs in 1.58, and Cape Fair seven in 1.35.
