BISHOP OF S. SOLOMONS.
CONSECRATION CEREMONY.

. WELLINGTON, this day. In the presence of a large congregation at the St. Mary of the Angels Erch, the Rt. Rev. Dr Jean Mane Aubin, S.M., was consecrated as Roman Catholic Bishop of the Southern Solomons. Archbishop O'Shea Metropolitan of New Zealand, Bishop Whyte, of Dunedin, and Bishop Brodie, of Christchurch, were present at the ceremony. The consecrating prelate at the Pontiflcial Mass in the morning was Archbishop O'Shea, who was supported _by Bishops Whyte and Brodie, with the Rt Rev. Father Connolly as assistant priest. Solemn Pontifical Benediction was held in the evening, when Bishop Brodie delivered the sermon.
