ROYAL WEDDING.
DEATH ALTERS PLANS.
British Official Wireless. (Received 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY, October 20. All the newspapers express deep sympathy with Lady Alice Scott and the Duko of Gloucester on the death of the Duke of Buccleuch. The Duke, who was 71, underwent an operation shortly before the engagement of his third daughter to the Duke of Gloucester was announced, and two days ago it was learnt that his condition gave cause for anxiety. The succession to the dukedom of the Earl of Dalkeith, who is member of Parliament for Roxburgh and Selkirk division, creates a vacancy in that constituency. The Duke of Gloucester travelled to Scotland last night to attend the funeral of the Duke of Buccleuch, which will take place on Tuesday. His wedding to Lady Alice will take place on November C privately in the chapel at Buckingham Palace.
