PAPAKURA STOCK SALE.
A very good yarding came forward at the Papakura cattle sale on Friday and met with good competition for all classes. j A young Jersey pedigree cow made 9%gs. The sale was conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. Prices realised were as follows: — Best dairy cows, in milk and close to profit, £5 5/ to £6 5/; secund quality, £4 5/ to £5; backward sorts, £2 10/ to £3 10/; best quality heifers, close to profit, £6 to £7 2/6; others, £4 15/ 'to £5 15/; backward and late calvers, £3 to £4 10/; heavy fat sows and heifers, £7 to £8 5/; lighter cows and heifers, £5 to £6 10/; small cows and heifers, £3 10/ to £4 15/; fresh-conditioned 'grown store cows, £3 to £4; poor-condition cows, £2 5/ to £2 15/; yearling Polled Angus steers, to £3 10/; well-grown yearling Jersey heifers, to £3 5/; Shorthorn yearling heifers, to £2 10/; service bulls, £2 to £5 7/6; potter bulls, £1 to £5 15/, according to weight.
