BLOMFIELD BEATS WADE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. A bright wrestlingbout here on Saturday between "Lofty" Blomfleld and Glen "Wade resulted in a win on points for Blomfleld. Wade secured a fall early. Blomfleld gained one in the last round. It was an excellent match, which was witnessed by a large crowd. The decision met with a mixed reception, some thinking the result should have been a draw or possibly a win for Wade.
McCREADY DEFEATS CATALINO.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, this day. In a wrestling bout here on Saturday night Earl SlcCready defeated Tony Catalino, the latter being unable to continue after the sixth round, in which McCready gained the only fall of the match following a series of dumps. The match was lively and interesting, but showmanship spoiled it to some extent. When the end came McCready appeared to be well ahead on points.
ANDRESEN-JAGET SINGH DRAW.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Andresen and Jaget Singh drew in a wrestling contest on Saturday evening. Andresen gained a submission fal] by a full-nelson with his legs in the fourth round. Singh equalised three minutes before the finish, pinning Andresen after dumps. During the contest Audresen twice broke the deathlock.
