OBITUARY.
MR. C. W. TURNBULL. The chath lias occurred of Mr. Chivies William Turnbull at Onehunga at the age of 81 years. He was born at Dundee in 1554, and arrived in Auckland with his parents in the ship Whirlwind 70 years ago. Mr. Turnbull was first employed by Messrs. Guthrie and Larnacli who had interests in the kauri forests at Manukau Heads. While in business at Newmarket he acted as returning officer for the first municipal election there. After acting as clerk to the late Mr. D. Neilson at Onehunga he retired in 1910. He is survived by one son and one daughter. MR. E. L. J. J. SEXTON. The death has occurred of Mr. Erie Lionel JamQS John Sexton, a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. F. Sexton, of Matamata. at the age of 34. He was a member of the staff of the Bank of New Zealand. He had served the bank in the Islands, and had been in Matamata for four years. For two years Mr. Sexton was treasurer of the Matamata Tennis Club, but resigned that position owing to illhealth. He leaves a widow and one child.
