Mr. Justice Fair, who is at present in Wellington, will arrive in Auckland on Friday morning. Sir. James Grose, general manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, left for the south by the Limited last night after a brief visit to Auckland. Messrs. M. J. Savage, W. P. Endean, A. Harris, W. J. Jordan, J. A. Lee, H. G. R. Mason, W. W. Massey, W. E Parry, A. M. Samuel and A. J. Stall - worthy, M.P.'s, left for Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. H. J. Anthony has received notice of his immediate transfer from Auckland to the Unemployment Department's office at Greymouth, where he will be connected with the Unemployment Board's goldr.iining schemes. Dr. J. Bright Banister, specialist in gynaecology jat the Charing Cross Hospital, London, who has made a tour of New Zealand, visiting hospitals and meeting doctors, is leaving with Mrs. Banister to-day for Australia. Dix, of the New Zealand Territorial Air Force, and formerly of the Royal Air Force, has received a commission in the Royal New Zealand Permanent Air Force. He retain his present rank. Mr. Taliu Hole, formerly of New Zealand, has joined the literary staff of the Sydney "Bulletin." While in the Dominion, Mr. Hole was on the staffs of the Christchurch "Press" and the "New Zealand Herald." He later went to England, and then joined the Melbourne "Star." He was for some time leader writer for tlie "Sydney Morning Herald." Mr. J. R. Hastings, a member of a well-known Hawke's Bay family, and a young Wellington journalist and overseas correspondent, is visiting Napier and Hastings. He has been appointed correspondent in New Zealand for South African, Australian and American newspapers. His activities are not only confined to journalistic work, for lie recently received a contract from the Hollywood Universal Song Service, who have accepted a song written by liim.
