AMBULANCE DANCE.

A largo gathering of dancers attended the Auckland Ambulance Division Social Club's carnival night on Saturday evening last. The programme was made up of old-time and modern dancing and competitions. The music was rendered by Miss Loina Pollard's Hao-Loma Orchestra and extras were played by Mrs. Young. A tap hornpipe was featured by Miss Elsie Smith. The ''first-on-floor" competition was won by Mr. C. and Miss V. Young, the Monte Carlos by Mr. Fletcher and Miss Smith, Mr. Harris and Miss B. Islierwood, and the spot dance by Mr. Webb and Miss Huntly-Asher, Mr. C. Thompson and Miss Wright. The ladies' competition was won by Mrs. Edy and the gentlemen's by Mr. C. Young. Mr. H. N.
