' The flags were 20ft out from the rails] on the course proper at Te Kapa this morning, and the going was holding after i the lain yesterday and overnight. With H. Wiggins in the saddle. King' Key was picked up by Carshalton (A. Gilmer) at the half-mile, and the pair were on terms at the completion of a round in 2.4. He ran his first half-mile in five furlongs in 1.7%, and seven in 1.34 2-5. Boughal was a couple of lengths in front of Sirona at the conclusion of five furlongs in 1.7 1-5, the half-mile in 02 4-ss. Whirling and Queen's Counsel ran three furlongs in Trouvaille, with a companion to assist him, ran half a mile in 54«, the first three furlongs in 395. Orac was timed to run five furlongs in 1.9, the half-mile in 54%5. Riding Engagements. The following riding engagements are announced for the' Auckland meeting: A.
