BOWLING.
TRANSPORT CLUB'S OPENING. Tlio official opening of the Transport Bowling Club took place on Saturday. There was a goocl attendance and after visitors had been welcomed by the president, Mr. J. It. Loney, brief addresses were given by representatives of the Transport Board, Jressrs. 11. (J. It. Mason, M.P., F. E. Lark, W. .T. Jordan, M.P., and W. H. Nagle. After officially opening the green, Mr. H. G. R. Mason called on Mrs. Mason to roll the first howl. Mr. S. M. l'"arrelly, the secretary, presented trophies won during the previous season, and occasion was taken to make a special presentation to Mr. T. Ashe for his ■many services to the club.
