TOLD ON THE HIGH SEAS.

The Man From Lautoka.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day.

A well-known South Island business man, discussing his travelling experiences with a. friend recently, was heard to make the following remarks: “I well remember leaving Liverpool on the Blue Funnel liner Nestor. Not long after we got to sea I met an old acquaintance from Lautoka, in the Fiji Islands. He was looking pretty sorry for himself and T could see he. had the devil of a. cold on him. ‘lf only I had a bottle of “Baxter's” with me,’ I. said, ‘l’d cure that cold for you in no time.’ “‘What’s “Baxter's”?’ he inquired. “ ‘lt’s the finest cough cure in the world,' I told him, and I meant it.” Many travellers, whether in New Zealand or abroad, always pack a bottle of “Baxter’s” in their luggage. “Baxter’s” should always be kept handy to ward off coughs, chills and sore throats. A few regular doses give -welcome relief. It is warming, soothing and comforting. Its unique tonic properties build up the. system, restore strength and vitality.— (Ad.)
