LION BITES ACTOR.

FILM PRODUCTION THRILL. (Received 0.80 a.m.) LOS ANGELES, September 24. Charles Bickford, a film actor, was severely bitten by a lion during the photographing of a scene for a picture. The lion hacl been trained to jump over Mr. Bickford's head, but instead the 4001b beast struck the actor squarely and sank its teeth in his back and neck. The injured man was quickly rescued and taken to hospital.
