PUKEKOHE HORSE SALE.
£58 FOR DRAUGHT STALLION. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, Friday. An average yarding came forward today for Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons' fortnightly Pukekphe horse sale. A large bench of buyers was present, and under an improved demand all classes sold readily at good prices, the top price of £08 being obtained for a four-year-old draught stallion sold on account of Messrs. Adams Bros., of Waitakaruru. Another draught stallion sold on account of Mr. l'aul Noble, of Waiuku, realised £44. Young medium draughts made from £44 to £53, the latter price being obtained for a well-set-up five-year-old mare in foal to Prince Wesley, and sold on account of Mr. O. Henry, of Waiuku; aged medium draughts, £25 to £35 10/; lighter farm horses, £22 to £31; light harness horses, £11 10/ to £14; hacks, £5 5/ to £9 10/; two-year-old to three-year-old unbroken medium draughts, £30 10/ to £30 10/; light unbroken yearlings up to two-year-olds, from £3 to £12 10/.
