NUMERALS AS SURNAMES.
A short time ago an obituary column in a London newspaper included an unusual surname —Eighteen. The London Telephone Directory includes a lady named Two, and Mr. ('■ Six, and three persons of the name of Forty. Perhaps Miss E. Twelves may be added to the list, though one wonders how the "s" got in. There is a firm of the name Eighteen, Ltd., but that may be only a trade pseudonym. There are no Dozens, but there are five Scores.
