KILBY'S LAST BOW.
LONG CAREER TO END. REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY. AUCKLANO V. WELLINGTON. Twice captain of New Zealand Rugbyteams and many times leader of Wejlington sides, F. D. Kilby, who will lead the Wellington fifteen in their annual matclx against Auckland at Eden Park to-morrow, will make his last bow before an Auckland public. After Wellington's match again&t Hawke's Bay at Napier next Saturday, the varied and' often brilliant career of the gallant little halfback will come to a close. A product of Southland Boys' High School, Kilby first won representative honours for Southland in 1925, and this season he completes ten years of firstflight Rugby. In his time Kilby had played for both the North and South Islands. He first wore an All Black jersey in 1928, when he played five matches on the tour of South Africa before he had an ankle broken at Kimborley. In 1932 and 1934 Kilby captained the All Black sides that toured Australia and won a reputation for himself as a brilliant half-back, a fine captain and a great little sportsman. It was generally anticipated that Kilby would have been selected as the first-string halfback in the 1935 All Blacks, and I although he revealed splendid form in the trials he was passed over in favour of B. S. Sadler and M. M. N. Corner. In appreciation of Kilby's services to Rugby both on and off the field, the Auckland Rugby Union will make a presentation to him before the match starts at Eden Park to-morrow afternoon. The Wellington team, under the managership of Mr. J. D. King, arrived by the early train this morning. They are at Hotel Cargen. Members of the team had a work-out at Eden Park at 10.30 in an effort to loosen their limbs after the train journey. The sole selector of the Wellington team, Mr. M. F. Nicholls, will arrive in Auckland by the Limited to-morrow morning. Teams for to-morrow's match are:—> Wellington. Full-back: K. O'Connor (St. Pat's). Three-quarters: H. G. Hanson (Hutt), J. W.
