BARDEIiL-PICKWICK TRIAL. There was an attendance of close 01: 200 persons at the Fabian rooms last night when the Auckland Dickens Fellowship held its annual parade of characters taken from Dickens' works. P. ; "kwick breach of promise trial from "Pickwick Papers," presented by the following cast: Justice Stareleigh, Mr. George Cruickshank; Sergeant Buztuz, ilr. J. E. Green; Sergeant Snubbin, the Rev. C. E. Perkins; Mr. Skimpin, Mr. H. C. Robinson; Mr. Pickwick. Mr. B. B. Hooper: Sam Weller, Mr. T. Vivian; Mr. Winkle, Mr. G. Iv. Fowler; foreman of jury, Mr. ,T. W. Kealy; usher, Mr. A. E. Grinrod; Dodsou and Fogg, Messrs. Preston Chambers and W. King; Mr. Perker, Mr. T. Clarkson; Mrs. Bardell, Mrs. M. Free; ills. Cluppins, ilrs. il. C. iletherell; Mrs. Sanders, ills. L. J. Morris; chemist. Mr. G. R. Turner; Tonv Weller, Mr. Tulloch. About 40 characters were represented in the costume parade and the prizes allocated by the judge. Mr. Henry J. Hayward. were as follow: Men's prize. Mr. B B. Hooper as Pickwick; women's. Miss Nellie Lavers as Miss Havisham in "Great Expectations"; juveniles, Margaret Lornie as Master Bardell. During the evening songs were contributed by Mr. Mortoii Smith and a duet, "What are the Wild Waves Saying," by ilts. E. Cable and Mr. H. E. Jones.
