REPLY MADE TO CRITICISM. The reported statement of the Prime Minister, Mr. Forbes, that Douglas credit theories were supported by only a small number of people in New Zealand, and that they were much too sensible to be carried away by such theories was replied to to-day by liie chairman of the Douglas Social Credit movement in Auckland, Mr. li. Douglas, who said they considered that Mr. Forbes was not justified in speaking on behalf of the thousands of people in New Zealand who supported the movement, and pointing out that at a meeting at Palmerston North last month, tlio delegates numbered 432.
