CUT RESTORATION.

WHAT OF OTHER WORKERS? GENERAL ORDER FAVOURED. "Tho restoration of 7J per cent of tho cuts in wages and salaries of tho civil servants is only an election dodge," declared Mr. B. Clews, secretary of the Local Bodies General Labourers' Association this morning. "This is the sort of thing the Government does on the evo of an election, but if it is justified in making even a part restoration to civil servants then it should be able to make a general pronouncement through the Arbitration Court making tho restoration apply to all workers.

"The 10 percent cut was imposed on all workers by the Finance Act of 1931 and applied to workers in every industry. Tho restoration should be made in the same manner."
