WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government meteorologist issued to the* "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as Jar south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Strong westerly winds to gales, backing to south-west. The weather will bo cold and boisterous, with heavy showers, and, in places, hail. Seas will be roir>h to high. An intense cyclonic depression hart been crossing: the Dominion, the centre this morning being located to the east o( Cook Strait.
I HATJRAKI GULF CONDITIONS.
The following report of weather con ditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind wtc-terly. moderate; sea moderate; weather squally, with passing shower*; visibility good;' barometer steady.
