MODERATE TRADING. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The markets were quiet in most sections this morning. The main features were the return of Woolworths (Sydney) to the sales list, a firm tone in Broken Hills and steady dealings in New Zealand Refrigerating shares, with a tendency towards easier levels. in the- banking section-, Commercials sold from 16/7 to 16/9, and Sydneys from £17 18/ to £18 3/. New South Wales buyers dropped out, and sellers asked £32 6/. E., S. and A. were fractionally firmer, with sellers' offers at £5 17/6 and buyers at £5 11/6. South British had better buyers at £4 13/3, and no sellers. Anthony Hordern dropped Id, to 19/4. Coles and Beath's were both slightly firmer, a buyer of Beath's rising to £1 10/. King Solomons were relatively low. at 3/4, and further sellers at that figure. Mount Morgans had sellers at £1 19/6 and buyers 9d lower. For Woolworths (Sydney) sellers retired after business, and buyers were left in at £5 13/3. (By Association.) WELLINGTON, this day.
