MUSIC LOVERS' CLUB.
Tho third meeting of the Music Lover* Club was held in the rooms of the Overseas League on Thursday evennig, when a well chosen programme arranged by the president, Mr. Walter Impett, was presented. A high standard of interpretation was a feature in each instance. The following programme was given:— Two Shakespeare songe £ .™. ress iline " a,,d "Blow, Blow, fhoii Winter Wind" (Quiltcr), sung l»v Mr. Alfred Porter; songs, "Persian Love bong (Rubinstein) and "The Wild Rose" (Schubert), by Miss Joan \ircv pianoforte soli, "Sonata in A" and Allegro Molto" (Scarlatti), played by Mrs-, Sholto Smith; two German songe, Sapphiche Ode" (Brahms) and "Xab Dir" (Cowen), sung by Miss Aide Harrissonj violin and piaiio duo, "Andante' , and "Allegro", from Sonata in A (Handel), by Mr. Norman Dimery and Mr. Walter Impett; vocal trios. "O Can Ye Sew Cushions" (arr. Bantock) and '•The Lass with the Delicate Air" (Michael Arne), by Misses Winifred Hill, Eileen Yeoman and Aide Harrisson; songs, "Child, What Sings the Morning?" and "The Violet" (Mallinson), by Miss Margot Anderson; «ontr S "Prelude" and "The Winds arc Calling" (Landon Ronald), sung by Mrs. R. Dimeryj pianoforte soli, "Prelude in D flat" (Chopin) and "Caprice" (Sibelius) by Miss Elaine Clements; songs, "The' Almond Tree" (Schumann) and 'Through the Night" (Hugo Wolf), by Mtes Winifred Hill; and "The Yeomen of England" (Ed. German) and "If I Might Come to You" (W. H. Squire) sung by Mr. John Bond. The accompaniments were played by Mr. Walter Impett, Mr. W. D. Webber and Mr. J S Pask.
