FORMER JUDGE HONOURED.
SIR ALEXANDER HERDMAN. A complimentary dinner was given to Sir Alexander Herdman last evening, Mr. G. P. Finlay, president of the Auckland District Law Society, presiding over lan attendance, of more'than 100 members of the legr.l profession in the Auckland and Hamilton districts. The toasts honoured were "The King," "Our Guest," proposed by Mr. -Finlay, and "His Majesty's Judges," proposed by Mr. J. F. Strang, president of the Hamilton District Law Society.
