WANGANELLA ARRIVES
DELAY AT SYDNEY. RETURN VIA WELLINGTON. With 84 passengers and nearly 1900 tons of cargo from Sydney, the HuddartParker motor ship Wanganella arrived at Auckland this morning, after a fairweather passage, and berthed at the Queen's wharf. After loading at Melbourne and Sydney the Wanganella was to have sailed for Auckland from the latter port on August 12, but she wag delayed there for 12 days by the Australian seamen's strike. According to her normal schedule she should have come to Auckland, returned to Sydney and Melbourne, and been at Wellington this week, but as she was already full of cargo for Auckland, she came first to this port and. is to sail for Wellington at 5 p.m. to-morrow. She is due at Wellington on Saturday morning and sails from there for Sydney and Melbourne on Saturday afternoon. By this means she will be able to take up again her normal sequence of ports, but will be running two days late. On her next trip to Auckland she is due here on Friday, September 13, two days behind her schedule, but she will make up one day by leaving again the following day for Sydney.
