MASONIC DANCE.
FUNCTION AT NORTHCOTE. The Masonic Hall at Northcote was filled with dancers on Saturday evening on the occasion of the annual "ladies' night" of Lodge Onewa, New Zealand Constitution of Freemasons. Frocked in black panne velvet, with white fur coatee, Mrs. Parlour officiated as hostess and assisted her husband, Mr. W. J. Parlour, the worshipful master, in welcoming the large gathering. Grand Lodge was represented by Mr. H. G. McCrea, past grand deacon ; Lodge Auckland by Mr. C. C. Turner, 1.P.M., and Lodge Albion, Devonport, by Messrs. G. G. Chambers, W.M., and G. F. Bartley, I.P.M. The junior warden, Mr. C. E. Dowsing, was the master of ceremonies. Dance extras were played by Mrs. N. R. Harris, the music being supplied by the Merrymakers' Orchestra. Enjoyable items included songs by Miss E. Berry, Messrs. A. J. Hodder and Albert Borrows, violin solos by Mr. Vincent Aspey, cornet solos by Mr. Fred Bowes, flute solos by Mr. T. Kenderdine, and monologues by Mr. B. Watson. The accompaniments were played by Mr. Peter Black. Tho toast of "The Ladies," proposed by Mr. W. J. Parlour, W.M., at the supper adjournment, was responded to by the senior warden, Mr. Gordon D. Stewart. Among those present were: Mesdames G. G. Chambers, green taffeta; G. F.
