ASSAULT ALLEGED.
WOMAN'S THROAT WOUNDS. NO EVIDENCE OF INTRUDER. (By Telegraph.—Press A ssociatlon.) OAMARU, this day. Yesterday morning the police were called to the residence of Mr. Archibald Henderson at Tapni, where they found Mrs. Henderson with knife wounds in her throat and her hand injured. The woman alleged that an intruder had entered the bedroom about 1 a.m. on Sunday and inflictcd the injuries. The police have found no evidence so far of any intruder. The injured woman, whose husband was visiting Christchurch, is now in a private hospital, but her injuries are not serious.
