POPE ON HOLIDAY.
DRIVE TO SUMMER RESIDENCE (Received 2 p.m.) ROME, July 31. The Pope, for the second year, has departed for his summer residence, the Castel Gandolfo, until the end of September. He made the journey without ceremony, in the second of five motor cars via the new road skirting the Circus Maximus and the Via de Itrionfi, in order to see the changes recently parried out in this archaeological zone. He arrived at his villa and appeared on the balcony, wiiere lie blessed the crowd.
