PAPAKURA CHESS CLUB.
The Papakura Chess Club held ite fortnightly meeting last evening. Ladder lompetition resulted as follows: G. Hodge L. Keals, F. McDonald beat Glasson. C. Garlick beat Blair. A hearty welcome was given to Mr. J. M. Smith, of the Te Aroha Chess Club, who won a friendly game with the president. The New Lynn Club's challenge for a friendly game on August 3 was accepted.
