METHODIST GUILD.
The Ladies' Guild of the St. Paul's Methodist Church, Remucra, held a very successful At Home in the schoolroom 011 Thursday afternoon. The hall was beautifully decorated for the occasion with mimosa, asparagus fern and hanging baskets, while bowls of bright spring flowers were grouped about the platform, where a splendid programme was given. Solos were rendered by Mesdames Otter and Rosser. Elocutionary items were contributed by Miss Muriel Partridge, and a short sketch by Misses Roseanne Lovell and Joy Bishop. The accompanist was Miss Owen French. An amusing competition, "Road Signs," was won by Mrs. Moor.
Afternoon tea was served by the following hostesses: Mesdames Walker. Ready, Adlington, Wigglesworth, Blomfield, sen., C. lilomfield, H. Hill. Strange, Bishop, Berry, Todd Smith. White, Carr, Wayte, Roberts, French, Misses A. and E. Fleming. Rev. Walker thanked the visitors for their presence and the ladies for their efforts in making the function such a success.
