NEW WOMEN'S CLUB.

There was a good attendance of members at the New Women's Club rooms on Friday, the speaker for the afternoon being Mrs. <;. K. Pickett, and her subject. "The way out. or economics from another viewpoint." The president, Mrs. W. B. Darlow. was in the chair, and the hostesses were Mrs. R. Sehriffer and Mrs. 11. Charlesworth. A resolution was carried at a recent meeting, that the club was prepared to support the work of the League to Abolish Poverty.

The lunch hour period on Tuesday was well attended. Mr. P. B. Fitzherbert gave an address on present conditions and how to improve them.
