W.C.T.U.
KOHIMARAMA. The montiily meeting of the W.C.T.U. was held in the Kohimaraiua Presbyterian Church iincl a large number of members attended. The president, Mrs. Kasper, gave an address on the harmful effects of alcohol and reported that great interest has been shown at the stall in the Winter Show. Memorial day was observed. Mesdames RelTell and 11. Eady received thanks for duets. Mrs. Pengelly acted as hostess for afternoon tea. DEVONPORT. Devonport Women's Christian Temperance Union meeting was held on Wednesday afternoon, Mrs. Williams presiding. Remembrance day was kept by referring to outstanding women of the W.C.T.U. Mrs. Williams gave a talk on the League of Nations. Mrs. Donaghue, an old member from the Wellington district, and Mrs. Cook, of Takapuna, were welcomed.
