MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Dawn of Hope (Thames). —The crosscut to Intersect the hungingwall reel's lias been advanced 7ft in a splendid class of andesite, and the ore In the cross reef is showing a high percentage o£ zinc blend. The wing on the reef has been sunk 4ft and gold can be seen freely in the ore at each breaking down. His? Kiver.—Report for week ending .Tuly 4:—Work was resumed on Monday, July 1. Practically no damage occurred during the month work was suspended owing to the wages strike. No. 4 level : Work has been continued in the north and south slopes; also in the north and south drives. Preparation for sinking a winze from No. 4 level Is being made. The face in the north drive is showing stone 2ft Gin wide and there is no change of any importance in the south drive face. Main shaft: One lift of 12ft in the shaft has been timbered and packed. The second lift of; 12ft to connect witli the timber below the chamber is in progress. This will complete the shaft from No. 4 Chamber to where the shaft is blocked and filled, a distance of 40ft. Fifty-seven tons of stone have been sent to the buttery.
MOSSY CREEK DIVIDEND. The directors of the Mossy Creek Gold Dredging Company, Limited (West Coast), have declared a second dividend of Id a snare, payable on August 1. A similar payment was made on June 20. The company; has an issued capital of £13,485 in shares of 1/ each. YIELDS OF COMPANIES. Mutaki (Murchison). —Last week, 41oz for 134 hours' dredging. Stafford Sluicing (West Coast). —18oss lldwt for 12 shifts. This is the first washup since Inst November, when sluicing ceased on account of (lie dam breaking. Goldflelds Dredging (Shotover). —There was no wash-tin last week as the dredge was still in worked ground.
