CHOKED TO DEATH.
LINGUIST'S TRAGIC END.

STOCKHOLM, July 7.
Professor Karl Charpentier, a famous linguist, was choked to death when a piece of meat stuck in his throat while he was dining. Being unable to breathe he was rushed to hospital, but died on the way. Deceased was 51 years old. He was the author of 150 books and treatises on the languages of the world, and a renowned expert on Sanskrit.
