E.V., Paeroa, writes that the local clab is enjoying: a successful run just now. There have been several live-minute nights and one 30-minute night. Good work, Paeroa. Why were these not claimed as official records? F.S., Otahuhu—The easier way to bend, balsa is to steam it. It is natural that a slightly different method is used Tor different sorts or work. Long, thin spars are bent by pulling through the tightlygripped fingers, or by soaking them in hot water and pinning down into place. Veneer can bo shaped by binding round a bottle niled with hot water. Yes, I will put in your S.O.S. F.S. has plans of Page Racer Gee Bee Eightster and Seversky Amphibian. Would like to get hold or the following: Fokker D 7, Spad 13, Albatross. P.A.M., Matamata—Have posted you the compressed engine drawings. Glad to be of service to you. E.1Y1., Huntly, is Interested in gliders, and I certainly will have to publish the plans or ono soon. It is rather difficult to get hold of really authentic plans or properly-tried-out machines. If.any reader likes to co-operate here, I will be happy. J.N.T., of Chrlstohurch, sent along the plans or a surf canoe, which he says "licks the kyak" in the surf. It is 9ft Gin long and is, I should say, a short kyak. The lines are very similar. However, I am getting a friend or mine to make it up. He wanted the plans of a canoe, so I have lent him these to copy and return,' and I will let you pilots know what the result is later on. B.P.j Rukuhia, sends in plans of an allbalsa glider, which he has found successful. He was up at Auckland recently, and attended a meet of the Auckland Club. It was the flrst day the new type of gliders were out in force (model gliders, this time). D.H., Broughton Farm, Pukekohe, Is only eight years or age, but sends a long letter, with drawings, that would not disgrace one twice nls age. He has made a 'plane that will ny 70rt high. Well, David, that's great. I have a small boy aged eight that makes 'planes too, and I don't think he has so far got one, that he made all by himself, to ny that high. You carry on, and I know you will be a "super ace" one of these days. W.G., Remuera—Yes, I have sent you the model racing yacht plans, but can't do the kyak. Kyak plans are out again. I have included a No. 2 bulletin or the Model Flying League, with application tO ™C had trouble with his Yellowbird fuselage model. I told Bill Mackley about this, and, as Dill designed the model, he was very upset. "Not ny," said he, "of course it will ny," and he sat down and gave n.C. the works properly. Well, I hope the Yellowbird got such a scare that it broke every record immediately. Incidentally, I feel sure Bill imparted a good deal of gound advice. H H., Napier—S.O.S. for your address. I have two letters waiting Tor you, and 1 have mislaid the vital letter. R H., of Epsom, sends Russian * ijrnter, full-sized plans for J.N.T., and would like Camel plans in return.
