CLUB NOTES.
Ashburton.—Going: slowly at present, but some very keen members keep the nag flying. Hamilton.—l understand that a movement is on root to reorganise the Hamilton Club, now that the wonderful indoor hall is available. It would be a pity to waste it. Bring- it up to Auckland, and see wliat we would do with it. Palmerston North.—The Avion Club is operating here, and have a line keen lot or members. At the recent show model aeroplanes were well to the front, and the publicity given to the movement by flying, etc., should help the club along. IMew Plymouth.—Two clubs down this way are functioning very successfully. Tlie New Plymouth boys are evidently getting ready for the time when their city is the real airport of New Zealand. League Notes.—There have been a number of enrolments this week, and the body of leaguers throughout New Zealand is increasing. Monthly competitions Tor the members give the outback enthusiast scope for contest with bis fellows. This month a plan of the best emergency landing ground within a few miles or the member's Home is t'etfUifed. Prevailing wind, trees, high-tension wires and other obstacles, etc., are to be shown. By competitions such as these the league can be really useful to aviators in trouble and seeking: a place for a forted landing.
