DEATH PENALTY.
EXECUTION OF PRICE. PRISONER INFORMED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The execution of Charles William Price for the murder of Evelyn Mary Madden will take placc at Mount Crawford prison at 8 a.m. on Thursday. A warrant reached the sheriff, Mr. Samson, yesterday, and in the afternoon he went to the prison and informed Price that the Executive Council had decided not to interfere with the sentence. Price took the decision calmly and made no comment.
