YOUNG NAVAL RATING
TAKANINI MOTOR SMASH
GIRL'S STATE STILL SERIOUS
The death occurred lit the Auckland Hospital at 6.50 this morning of Mr. Alfred John Francis Whitehousc, aged o{), single, a naval rating on H.M.S. Diomede, who received a compound fracture of the skull in a collision between a motor car he was driving and a motor truck at Takunini yesterday morning. Tho condition of Miss Florence Wigniore, aged 20, of 1, Kingsland Avenue, Mount Albert, who suffered a fractured skull, is still serious. The other occupant of the car was Miss Judith Blake, aged 19, of 100, Dominion Koad, Mount Eden, who suffered concussion and cuts. Iler conditions is not regarded as serious.
