A HOSPITAL RATE of 3-Sd in the £ on a proportionate part (75 per cent) nf the Capital Value (in terms of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment \ct 1933) of all rateable property as appearing on the Valuation Roll for the time being In force in the Borough of Devonport. 4. A UNIFORM ANNUAL FEE for refncp removal purposes of 12/ upon all properties situate within the Borough of Devonnort as has a building erected thereon. (N.R.: This fee provides for the emptying nf nnft regulation refuse receptacle per building each week.) All the aforesaid rates to be payable In each case In one sum on the 18th day of July, 1935, at the Council Chambers. Marine Square. Devonport, to A. E. Wilson, tho Council's Collector, or to such other person as may from time to time be appointed to collect the same. The Estimates upon which the rates are being struck, having been approved by the Council, remain open for inspection in the Council Chambers, Marine Square, Devonuorr. The Raffi Hooks and Valuation Rolls are open for inspection in tho Council Chambers, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on all business days of the week except Saturdays, when the said Rate Books and Valuation Rolls are open for inspection between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon. 5. A COMBINED INTEREST RATE of 4.V1 in the £. on a proportionate part (7."i per cent) o-f the unimproved rateable value Hn terms of Section 5 of the Valuation of Land Amendment Act. 1933) of all rateable properties within the Borough of Devonport made for the providing of interest and sinking funds on Special Loans will be payable as aforesaid for the period abovementioned. WATER KATES AND CHARGES.— And notice is hereby further given that., in pursuance of powers under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933. the Rating Act, 1925, and the Acts amending the same respectively and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council will make and levy for the year commencing on the Ist day of April. 1935. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1036, the following water charges and rates:— (1) WHERE WATER, IS SUPPLIED BY METER : In respect of Ordinary Supply as defined by Clause 260 of By-law No. 1, 1920, the sum of One Shilling and Sixpence per thousand gallons, with a minimum rate of 7/6 (.Seven Shillings and Sixpence) per half vear. (2) WHERE WATER IS NOT SUPPLIED 1»Y METER : In respect of Ordinary Supply :—Upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, the annual rateable value of which as appearing on the Valuation Rolls does not exceed £25, a rate of Ten Shillings ; exceeding £25, a rate of 2 per cent ou such value. The above water charges and rates to be payable in every case in two half-yearly instalments, the first upon the Ist day o£ October, 1935, and the second upon the Ist day of April, 1930. 3. NON-CONSUMERS' WATER RATES: Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situated 'within 100 yards from anf part of the waterworks, a rate not exceeding one half of the rates abovementioned, such rates to be for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1930, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1930, and such rates, to be payable iii one sum ou the Ist day of October, 1935. The above water charges and rates to be payable in each case to Alfred Ernest Wilson, the Council's Collector, or sucli other person as may bo from time to time appointed to collect same. REBATE ON RATES. In accordance with Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1U25, the Council has resolved that a rebate of £5 per centum be allowed to every ratepayer on the total amount of general and special rates payable by him (excluding water rates and charges), if such rates be paid within thirty days from the due date thereof, A.
