PANMURE TRAGEDY.
FUNERAL OF VICTIM
INQUEST TO BE RESUMED.
It is probable that the inquest on Miss Mary Elizabeth Raymond, aged 21, the half-caste Maori whose body was found in the Tamakj River on June 2, will be resumed next Wednesday in the Magistrate's Court before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., at 2.15 p.m.
Arrangements have boon made to send the body to Te Puke by a train leaving Auckland at five o'clock this afternoon, and over the week-end a large number of Maoris will attend a tanui. The dead girl was a member of a family well known and respected in the Te Puke district and her bereaved relatives have received messages of sympathy from far and wide. Many- Arawas will attend the tangi, and representatives will be present from other tribes. The burial will take place on Tuesday.
