STILL SHOWERY.
AUCKLAND WEATHER. RAIN ON ELEVEN DAYS. Rain has Aillen on eleven days this month", the total fall to date being 2.94 inches. There have been scattered showers over a very wide area and in the province temperatures have been very low. The barometric reading at 9 o'ejock this morning was 29.27, compared with 30.01 at the same hour yesterday. There are still heavy seas on the West Coast, although at the Manukau bar the conditions tend to improve. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The Government Meteorologist iesued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far eouth as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong but later decreasing south-westerly winds, weather still cool and changeable, with passing showers, but gradually improving; eeas| moderate on east coast, rough but later moderating on west coast. A shallow depression passed easUvard yesterday, and a slight secondary' lies across the South Island this morning. There hae, however, been a considerable rise of pressure in the far South. HAUi AKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, eou'-west, fresh; sea moderate; weather, cloudy with scattered showers; visibility good; barometer eteady.
