CONSULAR DINNER.
The annual dinner of the Auckland Consular Corps was held last evening, the dean, Mr. W. F. Boyle, consul for U.S.A., presiding. Mr. A. Eoeser represented the Mayor, Mr. Ernest Davis, who was unable to attend. Other guests were: Major A. F. Purvis, military secretary to the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, and Captain A. G. \V. frerber-Percy, A.D.C., Captain Cosmo Graham, senior naval officer in port, Mr. C. G. Macindoe, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board, Mr. A. McElwaiivand two former consuls, Mr. M. Copeland (Netherlands) and Mr. E. A. Craig (Chile). In a review of events of the past year, Mr. Boyle said that the relations of the Consular officers, jointly and severally, with the officials and people of the Dominion had been, as usual", friendly, happy and harmonious. The toast of the corps was proposed by Mr. Macindoe and acknowledged by Mr. A. M. Furguson (Belgium) deputy dean of the corps. Mr. Boyle proposed that of the to which Mr. Rosser responded.
