WRESTLING.
NEXT MONDAY'S MATCH. At the Town Hall on Monday night the Auckland Wrestling Association will stage a professional bout between "Lofty" Blomfield and Leo Narberes. Blomtield, an ex-Takapuna resident, has just returned from U.S.A. after a particularly successful run in which he worked his way up to matches with a number of the most notable heavy-weights of the States, and made a name by matching them at the game. Leo Navbercs has indicated by his bouts in the south that he is among the best of the American contingent now in the Dominion, but in his first appearance in Auckland on Monday he will require to be at his best form to get the verdict against Blomfield. The following amateur preliminaries have been arranged:—lo. Pinches (Community Sunshine), 8.13, v. C. Wilson (Bayview), 8.12; C. Fraser (Leys), 10.0, v. F. Crowhurst (Broadway), 10.2; J. Price (Broadway), 13.0, v. R. Douglas (Leys), 12.10; S. Jlobbs (Leys), 10.0. v. C. Jones (Y.M.C.A.), 0.8. Emergency bout: S. Bentli (Bayvicw), 0.(5, v. L. Holland (Leys), 9.0.
